Time here unfolds like a story, and for Jaren, it is a beautiful tale. I am reminded that the final page does not define his life, nor should it be the sole focus. Instead, let his story be seen in the moments captured in photos, each one a chapter of its own.

It’s hard to talk about who Jaren WAS. Speaking about him in the past tense just seems wrong.
During Jaren’s earthly existence, he was such a light, and full of good energy. He was funny, smart, and such a free spirit. I truly believe that in his spiritual journey now, he continues to be a light, for all of us he loved so deeply and so earnestly.
Jaren’s like a brother to my husband Kyle, and ultimately he became like a brother to me too. Though we are forced to deal with his absence in this life, we continue to look for signs from him, that his energy continues to live on.
Jaren, we will miss you forever.

My brotha,
No one can ever fill the place you had with us here on this green world. We first met when we were infants and had some time in between until our paths crossed again. Like the waves back home, the impact you made on our lives eroded and shaped our memories with you. As we all know, the Creator has you somewhere we long to be and we promise we will be together again, in time.
When you were taken from us, it was so unexpected and untimely. You have not been or will ever be forgotten. We pray for truth and light from the shadow behind that eventful night. You always protected everyone and it is with so much regret that we could not do the same for you.
You still taught us so much, as wise as you were, you stayed true to yourself and inspired us through every word you spoke and every second you shared. Like the pools back home that are saturated by the ocean waves, you settle in our hearts and deepen into our dreams. Each day, we will find the path to you my brother and your strong spirit is the beacon to the Heavenly Gates.

Jaren was such an incredible person with an electric spirit that could light up the room. He was quiet and humble but could make everyone laugh at any second. I had the fortunate pleasure of being roommates with him during our time in Korea... we would often hang out in the dayroom with friends and he was always the one to make you smile. Jaren was such a warm soul and I truly honor the time spent and fond memories that I was able to share with him.

I always remembered Jaren as a positive person! We met back in high school—(for the short time he spent at GW) and he’d always greet me with a smile when we would pass each other in the halls. Our conversations were always easy going because that’s just the person he was.

Jaren was that person that you can have one conversation with him and you know exactly what kind of person he would be. He had such passion to do something new and to live his life to the fullest. He always encouraged me and pushed me to do whatever I wanted, giving me the advice that any big brother would give even if it was the crazy ones. He had the biggest heart and was always showing the love he had for his family. He always applauded my photography even when I didn’t think it was any good, He would message me asking me for the picture so he could make it his wallpaper. I miss his goofiness and messing with him on how he and I are almost the same height because he thought he would keep growing. When Jaren got his first place, he always hosted our cousin's game nights, birthday, and holiday parties. He was a pretty good host, making sure the vibes were always top-tier with his music. Jaren has given me another look into life. He has me appreciating everything a little extra. To the person who didn’t get a chance to meet my brother, I hope you can see the exact person he was through these stories from his loved ones.

Jaren was a kindhearted, adventurous and humorous person. He always had a way of making those around him laugh. He had the coolest taste in music and gave invaluable advice during life’s predicaments. He still inspires me to live life to the fullest extent and to have a positive outlook in life. My memories of him are filled with laughter, good times, and good energy. That good energy he embodied lives on through his mom and sister, and the numerous lives he had an impact on. You’ll always be remembered and missed dearly Jaren.
